Reading Philharmonic Orchestra to play in Exeter for concert series
Groundhog Day and Super Bowl LIV are not the only special events happening on the first Sunday of February this year.
The Reading Philharmonic Orchestra recently announced that they will be performing a concert Sunday afternoon at Reformation Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Avenue.
As part of the Reformation Concert Series, Sunday’s program will include music from shows and movies in addition to some light classics.
The orchestra is composed of 50 volunteer musicians under the direction of Michael Slechta. It is one of the oldest musical organizations in the area, approaching its 90th anniversary. Their mission is to take music to people throughout Berks County.
The concert is free and open to the public. The event begins at 2:30 p.m. on February 2, and will be approximately one hour in length.
