Exeter School District alerts parents to possible COVID-19 exposure
Parents of the Exeter Township School District received notice on Sunday night that children may have been exposed to COVID-19 while at football practice between July 1, 2020 and July 15, 2020. The notice came after the athletics department was alerted to a football player that tested positive for the illness.
In the announcement, officials said they would be following The Return to Workouts Plan adopted by the School Board and put in place prior to the start of voluntary workouts on July 1. Voluntary football workouts are also being suspended for the next 14 days out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of all involved in football.
Officials are also encouraging all football players and coaches to self-quarantine and not practice with other district teams over the next 14 days.
